Foreign Tourist Services

Self-drive with an International Driving Permit, or a chauffeur who can double as a local guide — built for visitors unfamiliar with Lahore.

International visitors have two realistic options: self-drive with a passport and a valid International Driving Permit (see our self-drive page for the full requirement list), or a chauffeur-driven booking, which is what we recommend for anyone unfamiliar with Lahore traffic patterns or planning a northern Pakistan route for the first time.

Airport meet-and-greet is the most common first booking for foreign visitors — see our airport car rental page for arrival details.

Two ways for visitors to get around

International visitors have two realistic options: self-drive with a passport and a valid International Driving Permit (see our self-drive page for the full requirements), or a chauffeur-driven booking — which we recommend for most visitors, since it removes the unfamiliarity of local roads, traffic and signage.

Airport meet-and-greet

The most common first booking is an airport pickup: a driver waiting past arrivals with a name board, flight tracking so a delay isn’t a problem, and a fixed fare agreed before you land. It’s the smoothest possible arrival into an unfamiliar city.

English-speaking drivers who know the city

Drivers assigned to international bookings generally have working English and know the standard Lahore circuit — the Fort, Badshahi Mosque, the Walled City and Wagah — and can suggest a realistic day plan. A private city tour is the easiest way to see Lahore.

Beyond the city

We regularly arrange outstation and northern trips for visitors, and we’re well set up for Sikh heritage pilgrimages to Nankana Sahib and Hasan Abdal. Insurance applies throughout Pakistan, and drivers on these routes are experienced on the specific roads.

Documents and payment

For chauffeur-driven bookings a passport is all that’s needed — no driving licence or permit. Cash and bank transfer are accepted, card can be confirmed at booking, and standard bookings are settled at handover. We can also help with hotels and airport-hotel stays.
