Lahore Safari Park: A Family Visitor Guide

A practical guide to visiting Lahore Safari Park (Wildlife Park) with family — what to see, how to get there, and the best vehicle options.

Lahore Safari Park is one of the city’s most underrated family day destinations — a genuinely large wildlife park on Raiwind Road that most Lahoris haven’t visited since a school trip.

What’s There

The park is home to lions, tigers, bears, leopards, deer, and a wide variety of birds across a natural habitat spanning several hundred acres. The drive-through safari section uses the park’s own internal shuttle, while the walk-through sections can be explored on foot. It’s one of the largest wildlife parks in South Asia by area.

Getting There

The park sits on Raiwind Road, roughly 35–40 minutes from central Lahore depending on traffic. Raiwind Road can be congested during morning rush hours — we recommend departing by 9am for a smooth arrival. Our drivers know the fastest routing from any part of the city.

Best Time to Visit

Weekday mornings are the most comfortable — lower crowds, cooler temperatures, and the animals are more active in morning light. Avoid peak summer midday heat if you’re visiting with young children.

Combining With Jallo Park

Jallo Park is a large recreational green space a few kilometres from the Safari Park and pairs naturally as a half-day extension — popular with families who want to combine wildlife viewing with open-air picnic space.
