Overtime beyond the 11-hour duty is charged per hour at a rate agreed upfront at booking — typically disclosed in the initial quote so there are no surprises at the end of the day.
Self-drive rentals run on a 24-hour calendar day from handover. There’s no duty concept — you return the vehicle within 24 hours per day booked, with no hourly charge structure.
For outstation multi-day trips, duty is agreed as a block per day rather than tracked by the hour. The driver’s overnight rest is not deducted from your daily duty — it’s the driver’s own time.
