Choosing Between a Hiace and a Coaster

Both are group vehicles, but they suit fairly different group sizes and trip types.

Toyota Hiace (13-seat) / Grand Cabin (9-seat)

Better for mid-size groups and multi-day comfort, especially the Grand Cabin’s reclining seats.

Toyota Coaster (22–30-seat)

Available in 22, 26 (4-cylinder) and 30-seat (5-cylinder, latest model) configurations — built for large single-trip groups such as wedding guest transport and full staff buses, not for multi-day touring comfort.
