Duty Timing & Hours — Frequently Asked Questions

A standard chauffeur-driven day covers 11 hours of active duty — typically from the agreed pickup time through to the agreed drop-off, with normal rest stops counted within those 11 hours.

Overtime is charged per hour beyond the standard 11-hour duty at a rate agreed upfront at booking — it’s never applied silently at drop-off.

Yes, self-drive rentals run on a full 24-hour calendar day from time of handover. You return the vehicle within 24 hours of the agreed handover time per day booked.

No, duty starts from the agreed pickup location, not from our Gulberg dispatch yard. The driver’s positioning time is not counted against your 11 hours.

Yes, hourly chauffeur bookings are available with a minimum booking window — message us for the current minimum and hourly rate.

For outstation trips the duty is agreed as a daily block per day of the trip, not counted in hours. The driver’s overnight rest and accommodation are arranged as part of the booking, not deducted from your daily duty time.

Driver accommodation and meal allowance on multi-day outstation trips are itemised separately in the quote. You are not charged for the driver’s rest hours overnight.
