Beyond the three anchors, the valley opens onto Upper Kachura Lake, the Katpana cold desert, Manthoka Waterfall, and — the headline day trip — the vast Deosai plateau and Sheosar Lake, open in summer. Shigar Fort makes a memorable overnight for those who want it.
